Luke 8
Mark 4:13 - Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables?"
And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
~ Mark 4:5-6
And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
~ Mark 4:16-17

The Parable of the Mustard Seed
"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches."
With the help of God, Francis Chan started a church in his living room. And the church grew to several thousands.
Just like the mustard seed it is small but it becomes a tree. It yields 100, 60, 30 times what was sown. This yield does not have to be a mega church or anything that we could see with our earthly eyes. It can be scattered across great distances. Physical and or social. But it all starts somewhere like a mustard seed.
