  • husbands, love your wives, just as christ loved. the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Paul isn't only talking about the human marriage but of the mystery that church is the bride of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:22 flea youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace

  • run away from youthful passion, don't just stand there with self-control.

  • "run away from passion and run towards whats right" this theme is throughout the scriptures

    • 1 Thessalonians 4 abstain from sexual imorality

    • colossians put off the deeds of the flesh

    • galations 5 don't walk in the flesh, but walk in the fruits of the spirit

      • if you walk by the spirit and you won't gratify the flesh
      • interesting how you called to go and walk towards Jesus, you are not in neutral just standing there. I'm heading in this direction and nothing can push me backwards. some of you are in neutral and even going in reverse

John 17
